Extended-Use Tax Credit Properties

Includes only Section 42 tax credit developments requesting an opt-out of affordability between years 15 and 29 (the extended-use period). WHEDA offers this list under its obligation in the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1989.

  • Instructions for prospective Buyers:
    • Buyers are expected to maintain affordability. Buyers should contact the WHEDA staff member listed with the individual property in the PDF.
  • Instructions for Sellers
    • Special rules govern a Section 42 owner that desires to opt-out during the Extended-Use Period.

  • Instructions for prospective Buyers:
    • Buyers should contact sellers directly from the contact information listed with the individual property in the PDF. Please do not contact WHEDA!
  • Instructions for Sellers:
    • If you are an owner of an affordable multifamily development and wish to post your property "For Sale," please:
      • send an email to: jillian.wielgat@wheda.com
      • Include the following development information: Name of Development,  Address of Development,  Number of Units, Applicable affordable housing program (i.e. Section 8, Section 515 etc.), Contact information (Name, address, phone, email), Narrative Description of the Development (Optional), Digital photographs of the Development (Optional), Price (Optional)
      • WHEDA must also receive (via email or conventional mail) from prospective Sellers an executed Certification acknowledging they have the authority to represent the ownership entity. 
    • WHEDA will post all requests for approximately 12 months, then remove them from the web site. Owners may remove the development earlier than 12 months with a written request to the above email address.
